Here are some things you might like to know about our puppies

Quality Breeding:

Our puppies come from a U.S.D.A. and State-approved breeder named Sharon Munk.  We have been working with this breeder since 1994.  Click Here to learn more about Sharon's kennel

Veterinarian Checked

Pet Pad puppies are checked by the breeder's veterinarian before they are sent to us.  Once in the store, each puppy is again given a complete examination by our veterinarians at Boulevard Animal Hospital.  We have been working with this clinic ever since we've been open.  Boulevard will also provide you with a free initial exam of your new Pet Pad puppy.

Health Guarantee

Our puppies are protected with a 14 day guarantee to be free from everything we vaccinate against: parvo virus, distemper, hepatitis, corona virus and canine parainfluenza.  They are also given a kennel-cough preventative.  In addition, we guarantee our puppies for 1 year against heredity/congenital problems.

All puppies are kept up-to-date on their vaccinations and de-wormings.  These records, along with a copy of the initial veterinarian exam, are provided to you when the puppy goes home.   Click Here to see a copy of our Pet Pad Puppy Purchase Agreement.

Pure-Bred Registration

Pure-bred dogs are good for matching your needs because the breeds are more predictable in size and temperament.  Although our puppies are not considered "Show Quality", many have show champions in their family histories.  The registries we work with the most are The American Kennel Club (AKC)  and America's Pet Registry (APRI).  

We have also started offering a selection of "Designer Breeds."   These are mixed breeds whose parents are pure-bred.  These puppies are registered with the American Canine Hybrid Club (ACHC)

Micro-Chipped

All of our puppies arrive already micro-chipped.  Micro-chipped dogs have an improved chance of being recovered if ever lost.  You also get the necessary tags and paperwork needed for you to register the puppy's micro-chip number with the  "Home Again" microchip program.

DNA Profiles

The American Kennel Club is providing a leadership role in the world of pure-bred dogs by being the first all-breed registry to require DNA profiles for stud dogs routinely siring litters.  These DNA profiles are used for genetic identity and parentage verification.  Click Here for more information on DNA profiles.

Health Monitored

Our professional kennel staff monitors the health of our puppies daily.  Each puppy is given a daily checkup.  Pups are also bathed and groomed as needed.  Detailed health records are maintained on each puppy, so you will know everything we know about the one you wish to take home.  Click Here to see a short video about our daily check-ups.

Superior Facilities

Our kennel has been designed to insure the health, safety and comfort of our puppies.  Our kennel is inspected and licensed each year by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.  Puppies are provided with ample space, mats, toys that are rotated and fresh water.  Every kennel, toy, mat, dish and water bottle is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected daily by our kennel staff.

Socialization

When puppies are between 8-12 weeks, it is very important that they become accustomed to interacting with people. This socialization is critical in the development of a loving companion pet.  Pet Pad puppies are played with by a wide variety of people.  We encourage customers to play with our puppies.  Every time a puppy is taken out for playtime, he/she gets another positive experience with a person.

Our puppies are fed one of the highest quality holistic foods - Eagle Pack.  To avoid the stress related to a dietary switch, we provide you with a free 6.6lb bag of Eagle Pack puppy food when the puppy goes home. 

Free Training DVD

This DVD, features professional dog trainer Brian Donovan who walks you through the essential training tips for puppies between 2-4 months of age.  His website also provides more training information for you.

Spay Neuter Coupon

To help prevent unnecessary breeding, we provide you with a $10 store coupon when you spay/neuter your Pet Pad puppy.  In addition, Boulevard Animal Hospital will give you a 10% discount if you have the procedure done at their clinic.

10% Off Your Supplies

You will receive a 10% discount on any reg. priced supplies you take home at the time of puppy purchase.  We also offer you our Club Pet discount at half price of $5.00.  Club Pet members get 10% off reg. priced merchandise every day for a year.
